If you’ve ever lived or visited Wisconsin in the winter, spring or summer, then you already know how much there is to love about the state. But get ready to fall head over heels as we veer into autumn … when Wisconsin really knows how to shine
It would be criminal if we didn’t mention the beauty of Wisconsin’s changing leaves during autumn, and how well they’re enjoyed on a quiet country drive. No more asking “are we there yet?” because, well, you are!
Every season has its favorite foods. In Wisconsin, fall means cherry picking, caramel apples and beer cheese soup. We’ll also add pumpkin spice to anything we can get our hands on.
Speaking of pumpkins, Wisconsin has so many pumpkin patches that you’re spoiled for choice. Eventually, though, you have to pick one (pun intended) in order to put the perfect pumpkins by your front door, on your porch or in a delicious soup.
Apples all around
If pumpkin picking isn’t your thing (or you did that last weekend), take a trip to Wisconsin’s many beautiful apple orchards. Jump on a hayride, down some sweet cider and leave for home with a bag of Red Delicious under your arm.
Not every state respects its rural roots enough to make barn touring a “thing,” but luckily, Wisconsin does! And classic barns look even better against the fall foliage you have to ride past to get there (see “scenic drives” above).
