So you’ve decided to settle down in Wisconsin. Great choice! Here are three reasons why you’ll be glad that you did.
You’ll be happy to know that Wisconsin is one of the safest states in the U.S. The statewide crime rate is 2,467 reported criminal acts per every 100,000 residents. This is much lower than the national average of 3,099 acts per 100,000 residents. Bear in mind, however, that in the larger cities like Madison, those averages may rise slightly.
It has easy commutes
Wisconsin’s long, flat freeways give you miles of pain-free commutes; no wasting your life in traffic here! Again, while certain cities may have you stuck bumper to bumper more than others, their commute times (around forty minutes round trip) are still lower than the national average. Wisconsin also has great biking trails so you have alternative means of transportation during the warmer months.
With housing and transportation costs so cheap in Wisconsin compared to some other areas, this state is a terrific place to save money. Which is nice, because then you can put those funds aside for all the enjoyable activities there are to do here year-round!
